July Part 3

July is a very busy month. We spent the rest of July finishing up baseball (for a few weeks). All the small town celebration stuff also goes on in July. It was time to dust off our boots and get ready for the Ute Stampede. 3 days full of parades, craft fairs, contests, and of the the rodeo nightly.




I put the girls in the baby contest and of course Brooklyn hammed it up and Mckell was her shy little self. Brooklyn won 1st place in her age group.

Then I completed something I never thought possible. I RAN A 1/2 MARATHON! It was in Bryce Canyon and it was gorgeous. The only goal that I really had was to finish. Next time I would defiantly like to improve on my time. I finished in 2 1/2 hours.


We also spent a weekend on Boulder Mountain camping.

The was a controlled burn that weekend on the mountain. The kids thought it was pretty cool watching the helicopter.

We did a 3 mile hike into a place called Calf Creek. It was really fun and the kids had a great time swimming once we made it to the water fall.
